TREAD TALKS: Change the Program, Not the Goal

Change the Program, Not the Goal | How to Pivot Without Giving Up  What happens when the plan you've spent months building suddenly falls apart? Maybe the lease falls through. The partnership ends. The funding disappears. Or the opportunity you were counting on simply doesn't happen. In this episode of Tread Talks, I share a coaching lesson that's helped countless entrepreneurs navigate setbacks without abandoning their vision. In fitness, an injury doesn't mean giving up on the goal—it means changing the training plan. Business works the same way. If your original strategy no longer works, it doesn't automatically mean your dream is wrong. Sometimes the goal stays exactly the same, but the path to get there needs to change. IN THIS EPISODE, YOU'LL LEARN: * Why setbacks don't define your business * The difference between changing your goal and changing your strategy * How to pivot without feeling like you've failed * Why resilience is one of the most valuable entrepreneurial skills * A practical mindset shift for navigating unexpected challenges If you're rebuilding after a setback or questioning your next step, this short coaching conversation will remind you that adapting isn't failure—it's smart leadership. TREAD TALKS: Own What You Know

Don't Hide Your PRs: Why Owning Your Expertise Isn't Bragging Welcome back to Tread Talks. Real coaching moments. From the scary, messy, exciting startup space. Take the next two minutes to move your body — and your business — forward. And remember: you're not doing this alone. Can I tell you something I'm a little embarrassed about? When I closed my gym, I started introducing myself as "just a trainer." Just. Like everything I'd built, everything I knew, everything I'd put in the work for — was somehow less than what it used to be. I used to give my gym members a burpee penalty for talking about themselves that way. I owe myself a lot of burpees. Here's a Hey Coach question that hits this one right on the head. "Hey Coach. I have the credentials, the experience, the whole resume — but every time I try to show up as the expert, I downplay it. Why is it so hard to just own what I know?" Nobody hides their PRs to make the person on the next platform feel better about their lift. You post it. You own it. It's proof of the work you put in — and it's exactly what tells the right person they're in good hands. Your credentials are your training log. They belong on the wall. I worked with a client launching her own podcast — an actual doctorate behind her name — who kept finding ways to minimize it. Worried it would feel like bragging. Worried it would make her seem unapproachable. Here's what I told her: Your one tip: Stop treating your expertise like a spoiler. The right people aren't intimidated by your credentials — they're looking for them. Owning what you know isn't arrogance. It's how the people who need you most actually find you. Remember, progress happens one rep at a time — in your body and your business.  📞Book a call with me here 🎧 If startup overwhelm is keeping you stuck, you don't have to figure it out alone. Who YOU Are is Enough. Build a Business Without Losing Yourself

You’re Already Enough: Building a Business Without Losing Yourself | Featuring Abby Bradetich  What if the biggest thing holding your business back isn't your strategy... but the belief that you need to become someone else before you're ready? In this episode of The Fitness of Business, I sit down with brand strategist and business coach Abby Bradetich to unpack one of the biggest challenges entrepreneurs face: building a business that actually reflects who they are instead of chasing what everyone else is doing online. We talk about why comparison steals creativity, how overconsumption keeps entrepreneurs stuck, and why your best ideas rarely arrive while you're scrolling social media. Abby also shares how creating space, trusting your own voice, and addressing limiting beliefs can completely change the way you show up in business. If you've ever felt like you need to copy someone else's formula to succeed, this conversation will remind you that your greatest advantage is being authentically you. In this episode, we discuss: * Why authenticity creates stronger businesses than imitation * How comparison quietly undermines confidence * The hidden cost of constantly consuming content * Creating space for creativity and clearer thinking * Why mindset work accelerates business growth * Building a brand that feels natural instead of performative * Learning from others without becoming them Your One Takeaway: Stop asking, "How do I become more like them?" Start asking, "How can I become more like myself?" 🎧 If this episode encouraged you, please follow, rate, and review the podcast. TREAD TALKS: Show Me Your Reps

Investors Want Proof, Not Just Potential Welcome back to Tread Talks. Real coaching moments. From the scary, messy, exciting startup space. Take the next two minutes to move your body — and your business — forward. And remember: you're not doing this alone. Having a great idea isn't enough. Neither is a polished pitch deck. Before investors believe in your business, they want evidence that customers already do. In this episode of Tread Talks, I share a coaching lesson inspired by a startup founder who asked whether they should start fundraising before landing their first paying customer. The answer isn't about having everything figured out—it's about proving that your idea works in the real world. Just like a gym tests a new class with a small beta group before putting it on the official schedule, your business needs real-world validation before asking others to invest in it. If you're building a startup, raising capital, or wondering how to gain traction before pitching investors, this episode will help you focus on what matters most. In this episode: * Why traction matters more than a beautiful pitch deck * How beta testing reduces startup risk * The value of pop-ups, pre-sales, and waitlists * What investors really want to see * Turning customer feedback into business momentum * Why progress starts with proof—not perfection Your One Tip: Before you ask investors to believe in your vision, give them evidence that customers already do. Run a beta. Launch a pre-sale. Build a waitlist. Make it real. 🎧 If you enjoyed this episode, please follow, rate, and review the podcast. TREAD TALKS: Get Out of Your Own Way

The Plan in the Binder Doesn't Count: How to Finally Launch Your Business  You've finished the business plan. You know exactly who you want to help. So why haven't you told anyone you're starting? In this episode of Tread Talks, I answer a coaching question that almost every entrepreneur faces at the beginning of their journey: fear of putting themselves out there. Starting a business is vulnerable. It's easy to keep tweaking the plan, waiting for the perfect moment, or convincing yourself you need one more course, one more strategy, or one more month before you're ready. But a business plan sitting in a binder or hidden in a folder on your laptop doesn't build a business. Drawing on a lesson from coaching new gym members, I explain why momentum begins with one small action—not one giant leap—and how a simple beta launch can help you move from planning to actually serving people. In this episode: * Why launching a business feels so vulnerable * The real reason entrepreneurs delay starting * Why perfect execution doesn't exist * How a soft launch builds confidence and momentum * One practical step you can take today Your One Tip: Don't launch to everyone. Start with five people. Test your idea, gather feedback, and build confidence one conversation at a time. 📞Book a call with me here  🎧 If startup overwhelm is keeping you stuck, book a free discovery call [https://calendly.com/lbconsultingco/30min] with me.
