After studying geology at the University of Pittsburgh and beginning his career in the oilindustry in Texas, Dan navigated industry downturns, pursued filmmaking at NYU’s Graduate Film School, and ultimately returned to the energy sector where he helped build successful companies during the rise of the American fracking boom. Today, he serves as President of Reliance Well Services and President of Arena Resources. Episode 102- Fr. Scott Jabo, Former President of Cathedral Prep & Villa Maria Academy (2000–2020)

We are proud to welcome Father Scott Jabo to Episode #102 of The Rambler Podcast! Serving as Headmaster and President of Cathedral Prep and the Erie Catholic Preparatory School Systemfrom 2000–2020, Fr. Jabo played a truly transformational role in shaping the Prep and Villa experience as we know it today. His leadership helped bring Prep and Villa together as co-institutional partners in 2009, led to the founding of Mother Teresa Academy in 2018, and guided the development of the Hagerty Family Events Center through Phase 1 in 2010 and Phase 2 in 2015. He also helped establish a strong financial foundation through the system’s endowment, ensuring access to Catholic education for generations to come. But outside ofthat all, Fr. Jabo says in this episode that he is the most proud of the impact Cathedral Prep & Villa Maria Academy has had on young men and women through his years here with the school. For this special episode, host Jimmy Smith ’11, AVP of Development & Strategic Initiatives,welcomes back Dr. Chris Clark ’87, who currently serves as President of AHN Saint Vincent Hospital and as Chairman of the Board of Directors for us here at Cathedral Prep. Episode 99- Frank Lauria '04VMA, Head Baseball Coach at Cathedral Prep

Cathedral Prep Baseball has a long tradition of excellence and on this episode of The Rambler Podcast we feature Frank Lauria ‘04VMA, the current Head Coach leading the programforward.  Frank is a proud product of our Prep and Villa community as he shares his journey from being a student-athlete at Villa to now leading the Ramblers on the diamond. After playing college baseball at Notre Dame College and Gannon University, Frankreturned to Erie and later on joined the Cathedral Prep coaching staff in 2017. Since then, he has helped develop dozens of players who have gone on to play college baseball and, in 2025, led the Ramblers to a District 10 Championship in his first season as the Varsity Head Coach.   In this conversation, Coach Lauria reflects on the mentors who shaped him, the family legacy that connects him to Cathedral Prep,. Frank goes on to discuss the leadership/coachingphilosophy he brings to building a championship culture and a look ahead to their upcoming season.
