What Revival Really Is & Why My Past Doesn't Define Me? - May 22, 2026

Revival starts when I stop letting my Past define Me, and this message goes straight to that truth. In this week's conversation on The Smith and Rowland Show, Alan and Rowland talk about what Revival really is, why shame loses ground when the Word of God speaks, and how Romans 4:17 points us back to God's power to call things that are not as though they were. This Bible study brings a clear warning and a clear hope. If I keep living by memory, failure, and old wounds, I will keep agreeing with the lowest version of myself. But when I let Scripture define my identity, I begin to see what God says about me in Christ. I am called righteous. I am called holy. I am called blameless. The message also draws a sharp line between Revival and awakening. Awakening is when the lost come to life in Christ. Revival is when believers wake up again, get fresh fire, and return to obedience, worship, and hunger for God. That difference matters, because the church cannot settle for routine religion when God is calling His people higher. You'll also hear a strong warning about spiritual warfare, identity, and the battle between what should be and what is. From Luke 4 to 1 Corinthians 2:9, this teaching points back to the Word, the Spirit, and the need to stop playing games with God. Revival begins in honesty, repentance, and a renewed mind. If you've felt weighed down by shame, disappointment, or self-condemnation, this message will point you back to the hope of the gospel. God still speaks a better word over Me, and His truth is still able to bring change. Watch this full teaching and ask the Lord to renew your mind, revive your heart, and call you back into His purpose. #Revival #Past #Faith #BibleStudy #TheSmithAndRowlandShow

What Does A Disrespectful Church Look Like? - Ep. 907 - May 21, 2026

What does a disrespectful Church look like, and what happens when God's people stop bringing Him their best? In this episode of The Smith and Rowland Show Podcast, the conversation turns to reverence, first fruits, and the slow habit of offering God what's left over. The talk starts light, with conference jokes and a tape measure sponsor, but it moves into a serious look at Malachi, spiritual blindness, and the way people can lose sight of honor in the house of God. The discussion pulls no punches. It covers the difference between tradition and empty religion, why the local Church still matters, and how easy it is to give our energy, time, and talent to everything else first. The hosts also talk about worship, service, giving, and the kind of heart that comes before the Lord with something worthy to offer. A powerful story about a man with no legs singing "I'd Rather Have Jesus" brings the message home. What the world may call weak can still carry real anointing when it comes from a heart that has given God its best. If you've ever thought about Church attendance, honor, worship, or what true reverence looks like in everyday life, this Podcast will challenge you. It's direct, honest, and rooted in Scripture. Watch this full episode and consider where your best is going. #TheSmithAndRowlandShow #Podcast #Church #Disrespectful #ChristianTalk

Alan Smith: The Gospel Causes An Uproar - May 20, 2026

Alan Smith opens Acts 19 and makes a direct case for why the Gospel causes an Uproar. In this episode of The Smith and Rowland Show Podcast, he connects Paul's message in Ephesus with the pressure believers still face today. The Gospel confronts culture, exposes idols, and calls people to real change. That truth unsettled the silver smiths in Acts, and it still unsettles comfortable religion now. Alan also ties this message to America's 250-year moment of reflection and the season of prayer and rededication now underway. He calls for a church that prays with courage, lives with conviction, and refuses to trade power for presentation. A faithful life, he says, should look like a place where God dwells. This teaching also reaches into the personal battles many believers know well. Alan talks about the places of failure, the work of the cross, and how God forms character in the very areas the enemy targets. He also points to the unseen spiritual battle behind everyday life, from Acts 19 to Daniel 10 and Ephesians 6:12. If you want a strong, Scripture-rooted conversation about the Gospel, spiritual warfare, and the call to live with clarity in a confused time, this episode is for you. Watch, listen, and take in the challenge to keep the message clear, keep the heart yielded, and keep moving when God opens a door. #TheSmithAndRowlandShow #Podcast #Gospel #Uproar #ChristianTeaching

Are We A Disrespectful Church? - Ep. 906 - May 19, 2026

The Spirit of Heaviness is a real burden, and Isaiah 61 shows the answer. In this episode of The Smith and Rowland Show Podcast, Jeff Rowland opens up about broken hearts, spiritual warfare, worship, and the freedom Christ brings through Isaiah 61 and Luke 4. Jeff walks through the passage where Jesus reads from Isaiah in the synagogue, then stops before "the day of vengeance of our God." That moment matters. It points to the healing, mercy, and liberty of Christ's first coming, while the day of judgment still lies ahead. For believers today, that means hope is still active, grace is still speaking, and the Lord is still binding up the brokenhearted. This message also gets honest about heaviness. Jeff talks about what it can feel like in the mind, body, and inner life, and how shame, sin, sorrow, and lies can weigh a person down. He also shares how Scripture answers the enemy with "It is written," why worship matters in battle, and how the garment of praise can replace the spirit of heaviness. You'll also hear a powerful picture from the story of Lazarus, where Jesus raised him, then told others to "loose him and let him go." That same call to help free one another is part of the church's life today. Jeff also shares parts of his own testimony, including his salvation at age six and his survival after six cancer tumors were removed from his stomach. His message is clear, Christ still heals broken hearts, and heaviness does not get the final word. If you need encouragement, Scripture, and a reminder that God still brings freedom, this Podcast is for you. #TheSmithAndRowlandShow #JeffRowland #SpiritOfHeaviness #Isaiah61 #Luke4 #Podcast #ChristianPodcast #BibleTeaching #Praise #FreedomInChrist
