6 jaksotHey there, it's Thea here, please bear with me as I get to grips with editing podcasts. Firstly a warm welcome to my first ever Thea’s One Thing Podcast - which is the audio version of my brand new newsletter by the same name. Each week I share one tip, tool or tutorial about business, creativity and productivity. Today’s first episode is a tutorial that was created by Diana Munoz from Columbia on her Learn to Design in Canva channel - which she runs with her husband Ronnie. Both are fellow Canva Experts. In this tutorial which I will link to, she shows how you can use Canva’s Draw App to make gradients. Essentially though you’ll find the Draw App under the More with the three dots, inside your Canva editor. Choose one of the first two pen options and set the size quite large. Pick your first colour and squiggle your pen across your canvas, however you like, and repeat this process for as many colours as you have in your branding palette. Once you’re done, hit DONE at the top left and then it will appear as an image. Click edit image at the top left, and scroll down to ADJUST and hit “See all” to the right of it, and scroll down to BLUR and then blur your image until your gradient looks how you want it to. Once you’re happy with your lovely bespoke gradient, download it, and then reupload it back into a your Canva. I’ve created a folder called homemade gradients where I’ve stuck all of mine. Then you can use them as backgrounds to your posts and graphics. As I am always hoping to pass on share worthy content in the form of tips, tools and tutorials, this felt like the perfect one to launch with. If you’re new to Canva and didn’t follow what I just walked you through then for sure check out Diana’s tutorial [https://bit.ly/tnnews1]. That’s a wrap on the first Thea’s One Thing podcast. Hey everyone, this podcast has been dormant for two years and it's time to reboot, rebrand and relaunch it. I welcome you to this new version and you can subscribe to the all new newsletter at theanewcomb.co.uk/newsletters. Transcription: Hey everyone, I am Thea, a Glasgow-based Californian. I am a trainer, blogger merch maker and publisher. This podcast will be the audio version of my new bite-sized newsletter ‘Thea’s One Thing’ where I share one tip, tool or tutorial each week - related to creativity, productivity or business. The aim will be to keep the pods short, under five minutes, but useful. From time to time, I may invite guests in to share their one thing too. So please subscribe on whatever channel you listen to your podcasts on. Until next time I’m Thea saying see ya!
Hey guys, Thea here.... Welcome to my first podcast of 2020. It's a bit raw, and imperfect, perhaps a bit like me. Just telling you about my life of late - personally and profesionally. Talking a bit about software (Canva, Doodly, Viddyoze etc), music, streaming, spirituality too. Whatever gets me through this interesting time we're living in.
Chatting to actor/writer/director/musician Alasdair Ferguson about his creative projects.
Thea chatting with Paul Johnson aka Canyon City on his super quick, 24 hour trip to Scotland to play a show here.
