The Vineyard Vitalis - "The Truth Can Be Dangerous"

Last time, the group found an inn called the Lion’s Den and rested for the night after making their way into Nymora again in another past time jump. Kyver, Rig, and Cereius each had their own visions, delving into their fate and other powers in their lives. Kyver met with the goddess Aphy, who took many forms in a blighted swamp. There, he was asked to deal with the blight to protect the lands of Nymora, where his ancestors originated. Taking this ordeal upon himself, he was granted a blessing while in the lands of Nymora.  Rig was met by Malady, who exchanged words with her about the futility of her efforts and questioned why she was doing what she was doing. It sparked some soul-searching on her part, as she wasn’t quite sure whether what Malady said about her efforts across the various timelines he’s traveled was true.  Cereius found himself back at the Vineyard, encountering Mistress Jura, who gave him some clarity on the future he saw and the weight of his decisions. As his conversation came to an end, he was able to see the familiar visage of the Moonweaver from the shadow of the oracle Mistress Jura and thanked her for the guidance.  When the party awoke, they headed down to meet with Minnow, where they saw guides, high-level associates of the Lion’s Den speaking with him. As they headed out, Rig asked Minnow for information about further contacts that would help them get their hands on a dupe of their amulet against proof and detection. Thus, they headed out to meet Melanoa, aka Melons, a green tiefling crafter, owner of the Devil’s in the Details. They also happened to run into a strange character, a red hobgoblin sleaze ball by the name of Bingo Starr, looking to hire various “talents.” After Rig drove him away, they headed on their way to Joe Bronco’s Odd Job agency, Horsing Around, where they came in to see a headless person by the front desk, and a talking horse head on the counter. The Vineyard Vitalis - "The Concierge"

The party had decided to take a short jump back into the past to set themselves up for success before moving forward with plans to tackle the Sons of the Serpent, as well as others who have dealings in the Vineyard. Kyver said goodbye to his family after a short time together. Rig called on the power of her bracers, and with that, the party skipped back to when they first reached the outskirts of Nymora.  During that time, it was just when the caravan had arrived, and blighted creatures emerged from the forest in pursuit. The party saw young Arnable engage in combat with one of the creatures as they joined forces with him to take down the blighted creatures. Still in disguise, they headed towards the gate and blended into the crowd before looking for another inn to stay for the night. Dropping in at the Lion’s Den Inn, an inn that seemed a little shabby from the outside, they met Minnow, the elderly concierge, who gave them a large room for the night and some knives as welcoming gifts before they headed off to sleep for the night. The Vineyard Vitalis - "Gotta Go Back"

Last we left off with the Mercurial Avengers, Kyver and company had found themselves back at Kyver’s old residence with his father, Marlow, coming out to meet his mother, Rhea, who was carrying a young Beatrice. Their happy reunion was short-lived as they found themselves meeting a strange woman who was part of an agency looking to reunite Beatrice with her lost family. As Rig and this woman, Leila, exchanged glances, they were able to size each other up as rogues. Showing aggression to Leila, she went to turn and walk away, but not before signaling her 2 goons lying in wait and rolling into a fight with the party.  After a quick exchange of blows, Leila and her men quickly found themselves outclassed, and they were put down. Kyver’s parents proceeded to take in Beatrice and figure out what they were going to do with her as the party searched the bodies and found traces of the Sons of the Serpents.  Soon afterwards, they tried to burn the bodies to get rid of evidence, only to see the body of one of the bandits turn into a partially burned blight zombie. Realizing what the effects of the blight could have on people, the party became wary of the Vitalis family’s plans. As the party got a note from their old friend Attros, carried by his owl, Gilead, they were notified of the research on the blight and how it has less of an effect on Tabaxis, and as such, they were being captured as subjects to use for further studies. As they discussed plans to break into the Vineyard and set things into motion for turning the tables on the Sons of the Serpent, Rig mentioned the use of her bracers to go back in time several days to when they first arrived at Nymora. The Vineyard Vitalis - "Snake in the Grass"

Last we heard from our adventuring friends, they were trapped in the distant future, where they met some of their future selves. Old man Attros had pointed them out in the general direction of future Cereius, led there by Beatrice, future Kyver’s adopted daughter. Face to face with his future self, Cereius had come to learn the truth of how he succeeded and how it would lead to a cruel twist of fate- Between Utholok and the senior Abraxis Vitalis, they sought to raise an army of undead beneath the manor and to rise to lichdom through a ritual to Orcus. Cereius, in his blind path of vengeance, got caught up in it, killed Utholok, and took his place as the lich created by the ritual.  Having learned the truth, Kyver steeled his resolve and swore an oath to help defeat the Vitalis and Utholok, as well as freeing the Tabaxi of the Vineyard from the horrible future that awaits. As the group passed onto the next rift, they found a small house in the woods, a dream place that Rig could only imagine having one day. As they headed in, they came face to face with an older future Rig that had gone so far back in time and chronicled the happenings that would lead to this future timeline. She warned the group of things to watch out for, opening up a rift to send them back. As Kyver parted with final words and departed through the rift, he turned back to see a glimpse of a shadow behind Rig with a knife to her throat as the rift closed.  Back in the present, Rig was able to sense that a distortion in time had happened and that the present had changed slightly. As they stood back at the front doorstep of Kyver’s old house again, they saw that Secret, Ligven the white tiger tabaxi, and Weaqha were nowhere to be found. Kyver proceeded forward, knocking on the door and meeting his father, Marlow Sabertooth, again after years long past. As they spent time reminiscing, Kyver explained the tales of his long journey that brought him home today. After a short reprieve, Marlow stood on the porch and went rushing towards the road, seeing his wife, Ria, Kyver’s mother, in a hurried pace towards their home. Kyver took off running for his mother and was stunned to see that in her arms, she carried a small bundle, a young tabaxi that would be the young Beatrice that he adopted in the distant future he saw. The Vineyard Vitalis - "Future Lost" pt 2

Last we left off with our friends, the Mercurial Avengers, who had found themselves in a distant future. There, they came into contact with an old Attros who didn’t believe that he had run into them. As they spoke with him, another stranger appeared- a younger black cat Tabaxi named Beatrice, the adopted daughter of Kyver. As they had learned, Weaqha found himself taken by his rage and killed Kyver’s parents before running off and secluding himself in the distant tower.  Kyver, who gave up on his revenge against the Vitalis, found himself becoming an adopted father, only to fight to the death years later against the Son of the Serpent to save Beatrice. The party also came to learn that Rig had vanished into a time unknown after the Constable became trapped in the world that came to be due to the planar collision he caused. Attros, having been injured and crippled, could only send Beatrice to lead the party to the old Vitalis manor, where the Cereius of this future now resided.  As they approached, they were met by hordes of undead servants trapped in a spell circle that was the size of the Vitalis estate. The old bones in Cereius’ bag from the goblin shaman came to life as a skeletal cat in the light of the circle and continued to lead the party further into the manor. Surprisingly, they were led initially by Arnable, who revealed that the Drakewood Knights and Cereius took down Utholok and the Vitalis family in a revolt. As they ventured further in, they were met by the son and father of the Vitalis family, and even Utholok himself, who seemed proud of himself, having seen Cereius become a lich.  With the questions burning in their mind, they could only move forward, Cereius face-to-face with himself, asking what happened, if they failed, only to be responded to by his future self.
