episode 3: phuket, baby!

Welcome back to begin again, from the beginning.  Thanks for joining me again after a month long break due to some health complications (that you will hear ALL about!) In this episode I go off about how lonely I am and how no one I know is reliable.. Is anyone else feeling this way lately? Are you also always the one who reaches out to all your friends, the one who asks everyone how they are, seemingly the only one that cares? Oh, it's just me? Cool. I am so sick of it and it hurts. I feel so lonely here in Canada. So many people I know are living this Canadian "dream" of two kids, a nice house and a car. I don't want that so I am the odd one out and I am the one who doesn't fit in. I feel so alone and the only thing keeping me going right now is my foster cat and boxing. I feel so out of place here and I just want out so badly. I will also be talking about, you know, the theme of this show, travelling! I start us off back in Phuket in May 2010, completing the TEFL course and partying in Patong (spolier; don't do it.) Are you a fan of cucumber, tomato, avocado, white bread and mayo sandwiches? Because it was my go-to lunch for days in Phuket when we got sick of Pad Thai for every meal. It's such a weird thing but sometimes you just want something disgustingly North American. Ya feel me? Get ready for an emotional intro and a fun story!

episode two: leaving on a jet plane

Welcome to episode two!  Thanks so much for coming back and listening to incessant rambling about my life. I've  been sick the last week, my throat hurt and my voice was off so I didn't want to record and give everyone a shitty start off to the second episode. But I'm better now! Today I talk to you about how much I hate hustle culture, I read to you from my 12 year old journal I took on my trip to Thailand and about meeting new loves at the worst times. We travel back to 2010 before I had a laptop, before an iPhone and we uploaded 100's of pictures to Facebook albums from our digital cameras. I fly from Toronto, to New York, to Korea, to Thailand; 23 hours and I finally land in paradise.  Little did I know I wouldn't move back to Canada until almost a decade later. follow us on insta! @to_begin_again_pod
