Taliban lay out rules for protesters. The interim Taliban government has issued a set of conditions for protests. According to the conditions for protests issued by the Taliban Ministry of Interior, demonstrators will have to secure prior permission from the Taliban Ministry of Justice before holding a protest. In addition, the demonstrators will also have to furnish the purpose, slogans, place, time and details of the protest with Taliban authorities at least 24 hours before the demonstration. The statement issued on Wednesday also said that anyone found in violation of the conditions will face legal action. Former Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani, who fled to the UAE before the Taliban seized power last month, on Wednesday apologised to the people for leaving the country abruptly, saying he believed it was the “only way to keep the guns silent and save Kabul and her six million people.” #LifeInAfghanistanUnderTaliban
