Professor Christoph Frank, Università della Svizzera italiana Christoph Frank received his PhD in the History of the Classical Tradition from the Warburg Institute in 1993. Since 2005 he has been Professor of the History and Theory of Art and Architecture at the Università della Svizzera italiana, where in 2011 he founded the Istituto di Storia e Teoria dell'Arte e dell'Architettura. He specializes in eighteenth-century European art and is currently one of the three main applicants of a DFG-SNSF project devoted to the recently identified Piranesi Albums at the Staatliche Kunsthalle Karlsruhe.

The day will culminate in a conversation between Alberto Manguel, Director of the National Library of Argentina, and Bill Sherman, Director of the Warburg.
