107. Knicks Joy, Mets Rage & New York’s Most Miserable Fanbases
The Knicks championship glow is still very real, especially for LeeJay, who starts the episode by doing the unthinkable: apologizing to Yankees fans for judging how much they enjoy winning. From there, the guys look at what the Knicks should do next, whether running it back is the right move, and how the rest of the Eastern Conference stacks up after another round of NBA movement.
Then things shift to the Nets, Julius Randle, Brooklyn’s failed attempt to steal New York from the Knicks, and whether the franchise needs to take a major swing just to become relevant again. The halftime topic turns into a full New York sports misery ranking, with the Mets, Jets, Giants, Yankees, Nets, Rangers, Islanders, and Knicks all getting put under the microscope.
And then the Mets segment goes off the rails in the best way. LeeJay returns with a full rant on Carlos Mendoza, David Stearns, Steve Cohen, Citi Field still being packed, Juan Soto, accountability, and why Mets fans are reaching a breaking point. The episode closes with a Mt. Rushmore of athletes whose careers were cut short or never fully became what they should have been, including Bo Jackson, Derrick Rose, Grant Hill, Matt Harvey, Brandon Roy, Terrell Davis, Jose Fernandez, Greg Oden, and more.
