Descripción

Before I ever told a joke on stage, I had to trick myself into it. This episode is all about the stand-up persona I created—complete with cartoonish glasses and bold red lips—that gave me permission to start. She was ridiculous, brave, and just the buffer I needed to get over my fear. Eventually, I didn’t need her anymore... but I never could’ve begun without her. If you’ve ever been paralyzed by fear or felt like you needed to “be someone else” just to try, this one’s for you. 💫 New episodes every week—subscribe and come along for more honest stories, a few laughs, and sparks of connection. 🌐 For more: brianahansen.com [https://brianahansen.com] 🎥 Full episodes also on YouTube: A Spark with Briana Hansen

A Whole Hullaballoon: How A Vigilante Passenger and a Disneyland Balloon Caused a Ruckus, and and an Incredibly Emotionally Intuitive Flight Attendant Saved The Day

A delay on a flight inevitably leads to moaning, groaning, and frustrations. In this case, they were justified since the delay was happening as a direct result of one angry passenger who had a vendetta against one (likely expensive) Disneyland balloon. Luckily for these people - and the rest of us on the flight, we had an incredibly intuitive flight attendant. Their thoughtful response taught me a lesson not only in emotional validation, but also in recognizing that bridges need to be crossed when we get there. I didn't know it at the time, but that was probably one of the most important life lessons I could learn before becoming a parent. Of course, it would take becoming a parent before I really took it in. But, at least I saw it in action here. To see the story, check out @brianahansen on YouTube. Kayaks, Dolphins, Sharks, and a Coast Guard Rescue: The Wildest Part is I Had No Idea I Was In Danger

This was supposed to be a fun day of kayaking and whale watching in paradise. Instead, it became one of my weirdest stories: gale force winds, a questionable tour guide, pods of dolphin possibly warning us, an unexpected flip over what turned out to be a very deep section of the ocean and a known shark nursery, and, finally, a reluctant Coast Guard rescue. Oh, and the local news was there, too. In this episode of A Spark, I take you through the adventure — from pure wonder to pure panic — and share what I learned about staying asking the right questions before you embark on an adventure rather than trusting that other people know what they're doing. What a Skeet Shooting in Rural Oklahoma Taught Me About My Myself

Ever picked up a shotgun and realized your eyes don’t work the way you thought they did? Just me? Cool. In this episode of A Spark with Briana Hansen, I tell the true story of going skeet shooting in rural Oklahoma—and discovering I’m left-eye dominant. Turns out, that tiny revelation carried a big lesson: your body knows more than you think. And just because people tell you something about how most bodies work, doesn't mean it's the case for you. ✨ Takeaway: Trust your body. Don’t assume you’re like everyone else. 🎯 Vibe: Funny, insightful, and just the right amount of rural chaos. 👉 Want more sparks of humor and self-discovery?
