Descripción

This week, we are talking to our first generation cycle breakers.  In therapy oftentimes we often meet with a lot of first generation clients. The first to go to college, the first to start a business, the first to attend therapy and break generational cycles, the first to have financial literacy. If this is you, you may find it difficult to make certain changes when your family may or may not understand or support you. In this episode we want to hold space for the first generation client. How do you build support when the support doesn’t come from your family? The conversations can be difficult, the boundaries may be hard and the route to breaking may be exhausting, but we want to help you get there. Let's vibe!

Now we know this is not easy, as therapist we see this issue come up so often and as humans we have been challenged in this area as well but there is help. Positive thinking helps with stress management and can even improve your health. Thinking positively just means that you approach unpleasantness in a more positive and productive way. It is about looking at things from a positive point of view. It focuses on maintaining a positive, optimistic attitude. This doesn't mean the negative thoughts will not come it just means you can acknowledge them, process them and let them pass so you don't get stuck there.
