Descripción

I sit down with my sister, Kristen Danielle Tucker. Full disclosure—it’s all over the place, LOL. We’re talking about her first time doing stand-up (here in NYC), her wild obsession with Julianne Moore, and the kind of deep stories that make you wonder how we survived childhood. But we also go deeper—growing up with our mom’s struggles, figuring out how to turn pain into creativity, and the way love and humor keep us afloat. It’s funny, it’s raw, it’s messy, it’s us.

Inside My Acting Journey in New York: Performing, Teaching, and Staying Grateful

Hey Yall, In this episode, I’m sharing some real updates about my life as an actor in New York City. It’s been a full week — from performing to teaching — and I’ve been sitting with all the emotions that come after. I talk about the creative highs, the moments of imposter syndrome that sneak in, and the challenge of slowing down to appreciate where I am right now. Teaching and mentoring my students has given me a whole new perspective on acting, and even though I sometimes feel like I could be doing more, I’m learning to stay grateful for the opportunities in front of me. I also share my excitement about being credited in a film (which doesn’t happen often for background work!) and the reminder that gratitude really is what keeps me grounded through all the ups and downs of this creative life. 🏳️‍🌈 Coming Out, Losing a Friend & Turning Pain Into Purpose - Tre’ Woods

🎙️ In this episode of Aidan, Tell Me a Story, I sit down with my longtime friend Tre’ Woods — an actor-turned-photographer currently based in Ohio. We met at NYCDA, and today we’re diving deep. Tre’ opens up about being outed by his mom, navigating life as a queer man who once lived on the DL, and the complicated road to self-acceptance. We also honor our late friend and classmate, Tony Barr, who passed away — and reflect on the impact he left behind. From grief to growth, Tre’ shares how photography became his healing outlet — and how his work is now being recognized in a magazine feature at the end of this month. 💔 Identity, loss, healing, and creative rebirth — it’s all here. 👉 Follow Tre’ Woods: 📸 @trewoodsphotography 📲 @oh_its_tr3 Link to his magazine debut https://www.magcloud.com/browse/issue/3097692 👇 Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe if this story moved you or made you feel seen. #ComingOutStory #GriefAndHealing #QueerVoices #queerPhotographers #TreWoods #TonyBarr #LGBTQStories #Outed #PodcastInterview #NYCDAAlumni #CreativeHealing
