All Consuming Grace
In Part 3 of our series on anxiety, Paul and Rebecca Turner take a deep look at the life of Moses and his encounter with God at the burning bush. Faced with God’s calling, Moses responds with excuse after excuse — “Who am I?” … “What if they won’t believe me?” … “I’m not eloquent.” Finally, in fear and anxiety, Moses simply asks God to send someone else. How often do we do the same? Anxiety can fill our hearts with hesitation, excuses, and even resistance to the will of God. Psalm 14:1 reminds us, “The fool hath said in his heart, No God.” In this episode, Paul and Rebecca discuss the danger of allowing fear to lead us into telling God “no,” while also exploring the beautiful truth that God never calls us based on our strength, ability, or confidence. Through the story of Moses, we are reminded that God’s strength is made perfect in weakness. When we stop trusting ourselves and start depending fully on Him, we find grace sufficient for every fear, every excuse, and every calling. Join us as we learn to stop running from God’s will and start resting in His all-consuming grace.
