When the NCAA interim NIL policy passed in the summer of 2021, college athletes were permitted to engage in NIL activities based on their state & school policy. Now, it seems like everyday there’s a new NIL policy, update, or something is going on. Dallas & Janelle talk about how Dallas got to make some money & his approach to NIL, while Janelle imagines how much money she could have made (probably $20 max). Y’all…I know you thought it was over…but I guess we are back? The set up is different, our lives are different, so here we go!!! Anyways…we keep it chill with this pod about Disney. Janelle talks about her experience working there while Dallas pets Calvin da cat and forgets he needs to contribute to the conversation (it’s Calvin’s fault for distracting him, but we love Calvin anyways). Oh yeah, we got a good one! Ahmad Boyd, Northwestern’s Director of the King NU P.R.I.D.E. Program, joins the pod from the Black Student-Athlete Summit in Los Angeles. He talked about his experience as a basketball student-athlete at Ithaca College, the best things to do in Chicago, and his love of animals.
