March 4 2023 Storm - Potomac Edison

Thunderstorms and high winds caused a lot of downed trees which brought down wires, broke poles and damaged electrical equipment on Friday night. Potomac Edison has restored power to more than 6,000 of the 18,575 customers affected by the winter storm in the Cumberland area. We will continue to work as quickly as possible to get the remainder of our customers restored. At this time, we believe we will be able to restore most of our customers by Monday.

The Kids Summer Festival is on Saturday June 11, 2022 from 12 noon – 6 pm at the Ali Ghan Shrine Cumberland Maryland Picnic grounds. There will be superheroes, food, arts and crafts vendors, entertainment, direct sales vendors, games and more. Something for everyone one. With a very special grand prize for 2 very lucky kids. With all proceeds raised from this events going to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Shriners Hospitals for Children provides specialty care to children up to age 18 with orthopedic conditions, spinal cord injuries or burns regardless of the families ability to pay.
