Kathi’s counseling others on the care, dignity and safety of those on this journey, her career has spanned more than 30 years working with seniors affected by various forms of Dementia. To bridge a gap between diagnosis and the actual journey, Kathi is created My Silver Tsunami to be a guide to help people navigate this journey with the information they need to overcome challenges and provide a platform for learning, collaboration, guidance and community. It’s messy, exhausting, and thankless — but it’s necessary. I talk about the emotional weight of adulting for someone with Alzheimer’s, how it flips the roles we once knew, and why showing up matters more than ever.
