According to our analysis, the coming of the Mashiach (Messiah) is the climax of history, its very purpose, and the purpose and goal of the entire Torah. And yet, I find that most people with whom I discuss this topic - including many educated and observant Jews - have only vague and undeveloped understandings regarding this topic and what our sources say about it. Am Levadad #7: Two Paths To Redemption (Jewish History Explained)

In this episode, we will discuss the history of the Jewish people – an absolutely amazing story that – incredibly – was written very clearly in the Torah, long before it happened in reality. In earlier episodes, we discussed how the Israelites – the Am Levadad – received the Torah at Sinai and were commanded to take it with them to the Land of Israel and to build a society following the Torah’s instructions. We explained that following this blueprint would make their society close to a perfect one, a model for the rest of the world to emulate. This would enable them to fulfill their purpose as “a kingdom of priests and a holy nation”, lead the entire world to its destiny, and bring human history to its successful conclusion. As we discussed in the previous epsiode, the Torah is meant to be the engine driving human moral and spiritual development. But this leads to a problem – when the Torah was given, the world was very different than it is now, in so many ways. The Torah that was given at Sinai needs to remain relevant throughout the entire process, as the world progresses. How is that possible? In this episode, the sixth in the Am Levadad series, we explore the paradoxical reality that although we do not live the same way our ancestors did, the Torah has nevertheless not been changed and can never be replaced. Am Levadad #5: Judaism Is Not A Religion

Just as the Jews aren’t a group of people who observe a religion, our holy book – the Torah – is not a book of religious doctrine. Now don’t misunderstand me. The Torah does, of course, speak about religion, but that's only one small part of what it addresses. A much better way to look at the Torah is to see it as the constitution of a nation and a blueprint for a society. In this episode, the fifth in the Am Levadad series, we explore how a country built using this system can serve as a kingdom of priests and bring redemption to the entire world.
