66. What the Hell?

Most of us either grew up with a version of Hell that scared us into behaving, or it wasn't something we fully understood. In this episode, we talk about how Jesus spoke about Hell, what early church leaders taught about it, and what we think about it now. The beauty of the modern revelation of eternal progression in place of eternal damnation is a doctrine of mercy. It is better for all of us to focus on that loving doctrine rather than scaring people into obedience.
