In 1903, Remy and Thérèse Simoens left their small Belgian town of Everbeek for a new life in the rolling hills of Bruxelles, Manitoba, Canada. Since their arrival, the Simoens have been making music on the prairies for generations. In this episode, three of their musical descendants sit down for a discussion about music in their family history, the Belgian-Canadian identity, and the pronunciation of the surname Simoens. Guests: Alicia Vachon and David Van Den Bossche.
