As We Go with Stephanie Cosip
Today we are looking at James 2:19-20. What can it teach us about who God is? James is a book in the New Testament with five chapters, considered wisdom literature by some. One way to read the Bible is try a reading plan going through the book of James - you can read a chapter a day on weekdays, for example! Here are some of the every day resources I use to dive deeper into the Bible: A Study Bible: My study Bible is this New Living Translation [https://www.amazon.com/NLT-Study-Bible-Tyndale/dp/1414324480], which has been helpful for me the last ten years in learning to read the Bible. Youversion Bible: This app is a quick, easy way to read a section in different translations. Sometimes I read a verse in NLT, NIV, ESV, AMP, and The Message to see it from a few different angles and try to understand what is being communicated. Blue Letter Bible [https://www.blueletterbible.org/]: This website/app is free and full of commentaries, cross references, definitions of root words, and more - it's a great resource for exploring a section of Scripture more in depth. My recommendation is to read a passage without resources at first, praying and talking to God about help to understand. After that, there are a lot of resources out there! ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy [https://acast.com/privacy] for more information.
