Descripción

In this month’s Books & Hooks episode, I’m reflecting on what I’m learning about slowing down, reconnecting with my body, and changing my perspective on healing. I talk about how EMDR, PCOS, and survival mode have been shifting the way I think about rest, burnout, and listening to myself more gently. I also share this month’s book recommendation, The Body Keeps the Score, and why understanding how the body holds onto stress and trauma can be such an important part of healing. For this month’s Hooks, I’m also highlighting “Sit Yuh Self Down” by AJ McQueen featuring Londrelle, a song that’s been grounding me and reminding me to pause, breathe, and come back to myself.

Grief Check-in #1 – Entering the Season of Change

As the seasons shift, so do we. In this episode, I share a check-in on my grief journey and reflect on how the transition into fall mirrors the changes we face in life. Grief often shows up in unexpected ways, especially during new beginnings, and it can leave us feeling unsteady, unsure, or even like we’re losing parts of ourselves. Together, we’ll talk about: ✨ How endings and beginnings can stir grief ✨ Letting go of what no longer serves us ✨ Simple rituals to honor change—journaling, candles, music, or stillness ✨ Finding space for both sadness and hope at the same time This is a gentle reminder that it’s okay to be in-between—healing is not a straight line. 📝 Journal Prompt: “What changes am I currently experiencing, and how does my grief show up in these transitions? What can I gently let go of, and what feels important to hold onto right now?” 💛 Don’t forget to love on yourselves and each other. #HealingJourney #GriefSupport #PodcastCommunity #GriefJourney #EmotionalHealing
