Awakening with Kendra
In this month’s Books & Hooks episode, I’m reflecting on what I’m learning about slowing down, reconnecting with my body, and changing my perspective on healing. I talk about how EMDR, PCOS, and survival mode have been shifting the way I think about rest, burnout, and listening to myself more gently. I also share this month’s book recommendation, The Body Keeps the Score, and why understanding how the body holds onto stress and trauma can be such an important part of healing. For this month’s Hooks, I’m also highlighting “Sit Yuh Self Down” by AJ McQueen featuring Londrelle, a song that’s been grounding me and reminding me to pause, breathe, and come back to myself.
