GTA 6 Preorders, No Disc, and PlayStation Killing Physical Games | EP. 6

Rockstar says digital preorders allow pre-loading on November 12 ahead of the November 19, 2026 launch, while the physical version available November 12 contains a download code inside the box rather than a disc. That opens up a much bigger conversation. Are physical games actually dying? Are we moving into a future where “physical copies” are just empty boxes with codes? What does that mean for game preservation, collectors, reselling, lending games to friends, and actually owning the media we pay for?
