Welcome to Beyond the Surface, a space where faith goes deeper than what we see on the surface. I’m Caleb Tineo, join me as we read Hebrews chapter 1 and do a deep dive into the the first two verses!! Long ago, God spoke through prophets—through visions, laws, parables, and promises. But Hebrews tells us something radical: in these last days, God has spoken fully and finally through His Son. In this episode, we walk through Hebrews 1:1–2 and trace the theme of escalation woven throughout Scripture. What God revealed in parts in the Old Testament finds its fullness in Jesus. Prophets gave words; the Son is the Word. Moses led to a land with battles; Jesus leads to an eternal kingdom with no end. Manna fed Israel for a day; Christ is the Bread of Life forever. We explore: * How God spoke in the past through prophets—and why that mattered * What “the last days” really means and why we’re living in them now * Why Jesus is repeatedly revealed as the Son of God * What it means that He is the heir of all things * How the Son is not only the final messenger, but the Creator Himself Hebrews doesn’t just tell us Jesus is different—it tells us He is better. Better than prophets. Better than angels. Better than every promise that came before Him. The question left for us is simple but weighty: If God has spoken through His Son… are we listening?
