Descripción

In the words of Ethel Rosenberg, Many believe that we, in this century, are witnessing the dawn of a new spiritual epoch or era. This renewal of the Spirit resonates within the Churches and across the religious and social landscapes of our time. The teachings of the Baháís, led by Abdul Baha, the Servant of God known to the world as Abbas Effendi, echo this sentiment. From the sacred lands trodden by great Messengers like Abraham, Elijah, and Jesus of Nazareth, a light is once again shining forth. It is no surprise that in this cradle of the race, those who once sat in darkness have seen a Great Light—the transformative light of the Sun of Righteousness, rising with healing in its wings. Ethel Jenner Rosenberg (1858-1930), a distinguished British Bahá’í who embraced the faith in 1899, authored two booklets on the Bahá’í Faith, including this one. She contributed significantly to the movement, presenting her insights at the International Congress for the History of Religions in 1908, and assisting notable figures like Laura Clifford Barney and Shoghi Effendi in translating essential texts. Shoghi Effendi recognized her as England’s pioneer worker. (Introduction by Nicholas James Bridgewater)
