We are delighted to have Roger Lee-Emery with us on the podcast today. Roger is a very experienced leader and an innately grounded and down to earth, glass half-full kind of person! He shares in the episode his own journey and reflections on what's helped his own wellbeing, self development and mindset over the years. He's travelled most of the world and met a lot of people in his time. Perhaps as a result or simply his nature, there's a refreshing perspective that Roger brings - which I've seen him live and breathe in his leadership roles, but also in how he navigates life and seeks to bring balance, growth and opportunity for people - whether that's his family and friends or the people who he works with. We chat about some interesting topics, such as what success means to him, how his relationship to emotions has changed, what makes him tick and finding peace and balance in micro-moments amongst the busyness and noise of life. I hope that you enjoy the conversation and apologies again that there is a bit of background noise, we haven't been able to edit out altogether. I'm embracing the imperfect and hoping that it adds a dose of reality and doesn't detract from your enjoyment of Roger's conversation! We'd love to hear any thoughts, reflections, questions etc that you may have on the back of the conversation. And if you'd like to connect with Roger directly, he is on Linked in here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/roger-lee-emery-99490b5/ Thank you Roger for being a wondergul guest and sharing all that you did with us! And thanks everyone for listening. Bye for now. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy [https://acast.com/privacy] for more information.

We are delighted to welcome Liz Needham to the podcast! It was a lovely conversation from our perspective, I'm thrilled to have Liz join us and share her own insights, gained both in her own journey and through working with leaders for many years in different contexts and walks of life. Liz really brings to life her approach which is refreshing and intuitive, helping leaders in organisations of whatever shape and size, to seek out their own inner wisdom and find new ways to lead through the complex and fast-changing external environment we find ourselves in. Liz's warmth, down to earth, thoughtful approach and grounded coaching style really does help people to navigate unknown waters from a much more resourced place. It was so good to touch on so many topics from self-discovery, to community, to inner systems and back to practical wellbeing and self care - so I truly hope there is plenty in here for everyone wherever you come to the podcast from. I also love how through these conversations, we can normalise the messiness, the imperfect nature of being human in all of this - we truly are all learning and figuring out our journey as we travel along it. I hope you can join the conversation and share any insights and wisdoms you have gained along the way - as we really can and do learn from each other. So we'd love to hear your thoughts too. If you would like to connect with Liz directly, her details are:- LinkedIn - linkedin.com/in/lizneedham [https://www.linkedin.com/in/lizneedham/] Website - https://www.lizneedham.com/ [https://www.lizneedham.com/] Email - liz@lizneedham.com [liz@lizneedham.com] And thank you again for listening! ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. We are delighted to have Tony Grimes with us on the Podcast today! Tony is the Founder and Manager for the Cheshire Wellness and Mental Fitness CIC group and a qualified Mindfulness Teacher, amongst many other strings to his bow. Tony's wellbeing journey is a very inspiring one and also a very tough one as he shares honestly with us on the Podcast episode. Tony is continuing to navigate an ongoing healing recovery with chronic pain, due to a brain condition and previous injury, which at the time, meant taking early retirement from the Prison Service after 20 years dedicated career to helping some of the most vulnerable in society. Tony is genuinely one of life's amazing people, despite what he manages in his own life, he continues to dedicate his time and efforts to helping other people. We will hear all about his own approach and how that may be able to help you in your own wellbeing and life journey. I believe that his wisdom and approach can help all of us, regardless of where we are and what we are dealing with in our own lives. I hope that you enjoy listening to Tony's sory as much as I did. And please do let us know any feedback or comments you have, we would really love to hear your thoughts, any reflections and anything that has resonated with you. Episode 7: Bringing your whole self to life

It is a privilege to welcome Colin Nicklas to the Podcast, Colin is a friend and former colleague who has a really interesting story and set of experiences, wisdoms and learning to share around health and wellbeing, self development and leadership too. His is a facinating journey, as a curious child hearing stories of far away cultures, travels and adventures, he set his sights firmly on joining the Royal Navy which he did at 18 travelling the world and experiencing a breadth and diversity of experience that has clearly given him great perspective, understanding, passion and wisdom about people and how to help them thrive. From there, its interesting to hear about how that shaped him as a person and a leader and how he has evolved all of that experience and those learnings into supporting leaders, teams and organisations as an independent Consultant and Coach to benefit from the space and partnering he generously gives to learn, grow and fulfil their potential. Colin's warmth and honest sharing around the challenges he's faced and the tough times he's come through really I think really reinforce those key messages about the strength of vunerability, the importance of 'self' in our wellbeing and leadership attention, normalising asking for help when you're not okay, finding your own rhythms, mechanisms and resources that support you and the power of inner circles, communities and support networks. Things that we can all do to help ourselves and each other too. I hope you all enjoy the episode and please do feel free to connect with Colin directly. He's on Linked in at: https://www.linkedin.com/in/colin-nicklas/ Colin also mentioned the 'John Adair model of Action Centred Leadership'. You can find out more on this here: https://www.businessballs.com/leadership-styles/action-centred-leadership-john-adair/ https://adairleadership.org/acl Thank you Colin! ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. Well, after a short break, we are happy to be back with Episode 6 of the Podcast! And I'm delighted to welcome Sue Southern into conversation - its a cracker of a conversation I think - Sue shares some brilliantly honest insights and reflections in her own journey of wellbeing and self discovery. We explore really important topics around our purpose and identity, holistic health & wellbeing, courage & vulnerability, service and leadership and fundamentally, discovering who we truly are on the inside: how to do the work of sitting with ourselves and digging deeper to know and develop the person we are. Sue shares the tools, experiences and insights that have helped her and that she's continuing to work with in being much more present, comfortable and accepting of herself. I hope there's something that resonates and connects with you in Sue's story. If you would like to get in touch please do. Sue and I would love to hear your feedback and any questions on our conversation too. Sue is on LinkedIn here on: https://www.linkedin.com/in/sue-southern/.
