Buffy the Sleep Slayer
Welcome to Buffy the Sleep Slayer — where the stakes are wooden, the humor is dry, and the pacing is intentionally drowsy. In this first episode, we wander back to Sunnydale High, where Buffy Summers is trying to start fresh, make some friends, and, you know, not accidentally open a gateway to literal hell. It’s her first day at a new school, complete with vampire nightmares, mysterious librarians, and locker-side introductions that feel like they were written in fountain pen on a WB promo poster. We’ll drift through the familiar beats: a couple sneaking into the school after dark, Buffy unpacking in her new bedroom under a sea of cardboard boxes, Xander wiping out on his skateboard, and Cordelia introducing herself the only way she knows how — with insults that sparkle. There’s a vampire rising, a destiny lurking, and a Slayer who really just wanted to finish high school without catching fire. But don’t worry — this isn’t a tense rewatch. It’s more of a meandering walk through the memories: VHS fuzz, theme-song guitars, 90s hair clips, and the faint hum of fluorescent lights. So settle in, little night owl. We’re back in Sunnydale — population: slightly cursed. Turn down the volume, get comfy, and let’s gently re-enter the Hellmouth together.
