Descripción

In our continuing “Faith According to Jesus” series, we walk through Luke 7:36–50, where Simon the Pharisee hosts Jesus for dinner, and a woman with a shattered reputation comes in and falls at His feet. Jesus tells a story about two debtors, exposes the quiet pride in Simon’s heart, and then turns to this woman and says, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.” In this episode, we hold both people in view—the careful, calculating host and the weeping woman at His feet—and ask what a “Faith That Saves” really means for us today: coming as we are, letting Jesus cancel our debt, and living out a love that flows from knowing we’ve been forgiven much.  Order the book: But What Did GOD Say?™ The Book — Understanding God’s Communication But What Did GOD Say?_Book [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F6C97JWK] Download the App: But What Did GOD Say?™ The App But-What-Did-GOD-Say-app [https://but-what-did-god-say-app.base44.app/home?is_new_user=true]  Disclaimer: I do not own the rights to the music used in the intro and outro of this content. Faith According to Jesus: Faith That Strengthens Others

In our continuing “Faith According to Jesus” series, this episode looks at “Faith That Strengthens Others.” We follow Peter from Jesus’ words in Luke 22—“I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren”—into the book of Acts, where the same Peter who wept over his denial now stands up to preach Jesus, lifts a lame man at the Beautiful Gate, and encourages a church under pressure. Along the way, we talk honestly about our own stories of failing and returning to the Lord, and how the Holy Spirit fills and refills us so our faith can help others believe, stand, keep going, and obey from the flow of that faith.  Order the book: But What Did GOD Say?™ The Book — Understanding God’s Communication But What Did GOD Say?_Book [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F6C97JWK] Download the App: But What Did GOD Say?™ The App But-What-Did-GOD-Say-app [https://but-what-did-god-say-app.base44.app/home?is_new_user=true]  Disclaimer: I do not own the rights to the music used in the intro and outro of this content. episode Faith According to Jesus: Faith That Jesus Sees artwork

Faith According to Jesus: Faith That Jesus Sees

In our “Faith According to Jesus” series, this episode walks through Luke 5:17–26 (with the parallel in Mark 2:1–12), where four friends carry a paralyzed man, break through the crowd, and lower him through the roof to Jesus. We sit with the phrase “When He saw their faith” and watch how Jesus goes to the deepest need first—calling the man “Son” and forgiving his sins—before healing his body in front of everyone. Along the way, we look for where we are in this story—sometimes on the bed needing to be carried, sometimes as the friends holding the mat—and what it means to walk in the kind of faith Jesus sees, bringing ourselves and the people we love to Him even when the way seems blocked.  Order the book: But What Did GOD Say?™ The Book — Understanding God’s Communication But What Did GOD Say?_Book [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F6C97JWK] Download the App: But What Did GOD Say?™ The App But-What-Did-GOD-Say-app [https://but-what-did-god-say-app.base44.app/home?is_new_user=true]  Disclaimer: I do not own the rights to the music used in the intro and outro of this content. episode Faith According to Jesus - Faith that Makes Whole artwork

Faith According to Jesus - Faith that Makes Whole

In this episode of our “Faith According to Jesus” series, we look at two encounters with Jesus: the woman in Mark 5:25-34 who had suffered for twelve years, and the one leper in Luke 17:11-19 who returned to give thanks after being cleansed. Both stories show us that wholeness is deeper than relief. The woman reaches for Jesus with the last strength in her body, and the Samaritan returns to Jesus with gratitude in his heart. Together, these passages help us see that faith that makes whole reaches for Jesus, receives from Jesus, and returns to Jesus. Faith According to Jesus - Faith Tested, But Not Destroyed

What happens when our faith is shaken to the core, and we fail God in the very area we thought we were strong? In this episode of “Faith According to Jesus,” we walk with Peter through Luke 22:31–32, 54–62. We listen as Jesus warns Peter about Satan’s sifting, prays that his faith will not fail, and then watches Peter deny Him three times—and we see the bitter tears of repentance that Jesus had already prayed for in advance. If you’ve ever felt like your faith has been sifted or wondered if God is finished with you after a fall, this conversation is for you. Join me as a witness and a learner as we discover what “faith tested, but not destroyed” looks like in the life of Peter—and in our own lives today.
