Episode 001: I get to do this and get paid?

For our first podcast, we are focussing on how we got into youth work in the first place. What made us want to work with young people? What opportunities were open to us? Who encouraged and supported us? And how were we supported in our development as respected and valued professionals? In our stories from the 1980s we’ll be touching on a range of themes that we’ll be returning to in other episodes: positive female role models, fighting for a fair share of resources for girls and young women, and access to the opportunity for working class women to go to university.
