Descripción

In this episode, Kelsey and Rebecca catch up after a chilled January week. Kelsey shares her excitement over sticking to routines, new skincare, and healthy eating, though her dishwasher drama is giving 2026 energy already. She also introduces us to her new TikTok friendship with King Guinea Adventures, a viral guinea pig account that was filmed in her hometown church. Meanwhile, Rebecca is deep in life admin. Booking her dream Japan trip, dealing with her fear of flying (and tsunamis), and planning her mum’s 70th birthday weekend in London, including her controversial thoughts on Mamma Mia the musical. The girls also dive into this week’s topic. “Things We Buy to Feel Something.” From Boots splurges and unread books to gemstone obsessions and luxury holidays that didn’t quite hit the spot, they explore how consumer habits can reflect deeper feelings. Rebecca opens up about past spending patterns as a way to avoid what was really going on emotionally, even if it meant multiple solo trips to Italy, endless toiletries, or booking flights just to feel alive. There’s laughs, reflections, and a little bit of emotional growth… plus a near-death experience in Supermac’s. Standard. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. episode #30: Paint, PC Games and the Phone in the Hall artwork

#30: Paint, PC Games and the Phone in the Hall

It’s the end of Season 3, and the girls are signing off with a nostalgic look back and a healthy dose of weekly carnage. Kelsey’s still doing dry January, even though the call of a spicy margarita is getting louder. They had a wholesome family meet up in London where the vibes were high, even if the dinner wasn’t (Rebecca’s meal was cold, the trauma was real). Rebecca also braved Mamma Mia, got sentimental over old photos while planning her mum’s 70th, and found a Crookshanks figurine that made everything feel a bit better.   This week’s theme? A Simpler Time. The girls go deep into the joys of growing up, from early internet memories to the thrill of calling your friends from the house phone. There’s Paint, playing outside, TV guides, and Rebecca gets emotional over childhood PC games. It’s cosy, heartfelt, and a look back to when the only thing we had to worry about was rewinding the VHS. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. #29: Near-Death Turbulence & a Bus Arrest

The girls are back catching up on their weeks. Kelsey is still trying to live her best life through reading, routine and wellness… while still absolutely forgetting her water intake daily. Rebecca is determined to finally finish her book (even though it’s been renewed five times, which is genuinely mortifying), and she’s heading to London for the weekend. Kelsey also enters her “colour palette” era, realising she’s a Soft Summer and deciding to dye her hair accordingly, plus she tries the viral hot noodles because she can’t resist a trend. Then it’s time for the main event, travel traumas. Kelsey nearly fights a bus driver (as one does), the girls relive the horror of near-death plane turbulence, and Rebecca witnesses pure cinema on public transport as five Gardaí pull a man off her bus in cuffs. If you’ve ever had a journey that felt like a personal attack… this one’s for you. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. episode #27: Glamour Magic, Lost Remotes & Lemon Bonbons artwork

#27: Glamour Magic, Lost Remotes & Lemon Bonbons

The girls are back for the first full episode of 2026 with a frosty, festive debrief. Rebecca’s battling the January blues, cancelling egg freezing (again), and desperately seeking a quiet month, but her calendar has other plans. Kelsey’s getting into glamour magic, fashion design and… accidentally stealing TV remotes. They share stories of falling over in public, Baileys in wine glasses, missing countdowns, lemon bonbons, and being locked out barefoot. Then it’s into the topic. What they actually want from 2026. From reading more (or at least pretending to), to creative resolutions, travel plans, major life upgrades and figuring out how to have a soft, slow year, or at least a less hectic one. There’s audiobook chat, small delusions, and a bit of vague manifestation thrown in for good measure.  ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. episode #26: Can’t Cope. The Christmas Breakdown Episode artwork

#26: Can’t Cope. The Christmas Breakdown Episode

It’s Christmas Eve Eve and Kelsey and Rebecca are hanging on by a thread. Between hangovers, festive exhaustion, and emotions running at an all-time high, this episode is chaotic in the best possible way. From crackers that feel like chalk when you’re hungover, to cocktails with tongues in Oxford, shark houses on suburban roofs, work Christmas parties, bauble painting, ice skating with screaming children, and solo carousel rides that send us into tears. This episode is a full festive brain dump. The girls also take a nostalgic turn with The Muppets Christmas Carol, adult Christmas comedies, reality TV binges, and why December seems to turn everyone into an emotional wreck. As it’s the final episode before Christmas, Kelsey and Rebecca slow things down (slightly) and reflect on what they’re truly grateful for this year. They talk about careers, therapy, personal growth, turning 30, family holidays, moving in with a partner, and finding healthy, green-flag love. There are tears, laughter, gratitude, and zero emotional regulation, capped off with the Irish government officially granting Santa clearance to enter Irish airspace (which absolutely broke them). Grab a cup of tea, get cosy, and join them for a festive, fragile, and very heartfelt episode of Can’t Cope. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast.
