This week I am featuring Penryn, an unincorporated part of Placer County. Located east of Sacramento, with easy access to Interstate 80, Penryn has a rural feel that is still not too far from stores and services in nearby Loomis, Rocklin, and  Auburn… Penryn has a long history which was influenced by a granite mine and a railroad…. It’s a small community with the 2020 US census showing just one thousand, one hundred, and fifty residents… Penryn also benefits from its location up the hill from Sacramento, as it’s just 64 miles from skiing at Boreal.….. Penryn is about 34 miles to the Sacramento Airport and 28 miles to Downtown Sacramento… I selected Penryn this week because no single family homes sold over the past week…. There are now five single family homes available in Penryn with this past summer seeing the most available inventory in five years….. If Penryn sounds like a community that you would be interested in, then please consider my deal of the week…. Located west of Sacramento, with easy access to Interstate 80, Dixon has a rural feel that is still not to far from stores and services in nearby Davis and Vacaville… Residents of Dixon enjoy the Dixon May Fair, which is California’s oldest fair… Dixon  also benefits from its location near Sacramento, as it’s just 23 miles away and 27 miles from the Sacramento Airport…For commuters to San Francisco the drive is just 62 miles.  I selected Dixon this week because only two single family home sold over the past week…. Located south of Sacramento, with easy access to Highway 99, Lodi has a rural feel that is still not to far from stores and services in nearby Stockton… Residents of Lodi enjoy visiting the local vineyards in Lodi, some featuring grape vines which are over 100 years old… Lodi also benefits from its location near Stockton, but is managed by its own local government… Lodi has been able to preserve a green space buffer between itself and Stockton... Lodi is about 45 minutes to the Sacramento Airport and 40 minutes to Downtown Sacramento… I selected Lodi this week because only five single family home sold over the past week…. There are now 94 single family homes available in Lodi with this past summer seeing the most available inventory in five years….. If Lodi sounds like a community that you would be interested in, then please consider my deal of the week….
