Descripción

Sips of the week was a cozy coffee paired with M’s homemade muffin tin brownies with walnuts — which of course sent Syd into a story about her great aunt lovingly known as “Bessie Cracking Walnuts.” Naturally. We get into Syd’s obsession with her favorite little shop out of Maine, Mexicali Blues, and why she absolutely cannot be trusted on their online store for the sake of financial restraint. M dives into the meaning behind her new tattoo sleeve and all the beautiful details that symbolize getting her sparkle back, while Syd opens up about how someone can seem like they have it all together while life underneath feels harddd. We laugh about only getting rage baited by the people we love most and spiral into societal expectations, being unapologetically yourself, and somehow Syd accidentally dropping genuinely good advice: “whatever you have to give to the world, give it — and the right people will find it and appreciate it.” We also talk about being bartenders/therapists, M’s moon knowledge and crystal charging expertise, and Syd’s freaky intuition being on ten yet again. This episode is cozy, chaotic, honest, and cut a little short because we’re working gals and had to run. Love ya!!!

episode Bruised Tailbones and Healing Trauma Brains artwork

Bruised Tailbones and Healing Trauma Brains

Sips of the week were peanut butter iced coffees paired perfectly with chips and queso while our brains rode the absolute struggle bus. We dive into M’s trip back home to Colorado, Syd bruising her tailbone because of course she did, and why M is officially a big strong girl now. Syd’s husband also survived Sonic Temple (barely) and made it home with stories… including his car getting broken into hahaha. We get into bartender personalities, someone complimenting Syd’s microexpressions, and M becoming fully obsessed with her new earrings. From there, the episode takes a softer turn into our mini healing inbox where we talk about giving yourself grace, recognizing how far you’ve come, and learning to live with a healing trauma brain. M brings up the tarot card “4 of Wands,” we discuss the moon doing moon things, and Syd explains why she thought she was about to get sex trafficked at Waffle House. We also talk friendship bracelets for our little friend group, questioning your sexuality with an open mind, and how dangerous certain words can be—especially to a child. We end the episode talking about the beauty of having friendships where you can say your darkest or weirdest thoughts out loud and still feel loved, heard, and seen. As always, our healing inbox is open. Feel free to reach out to us on socials or by email. ♡

episode I'm Sorry I Bursted Your Bubble artwork

I'm Sorry I Bursted Your Bubble

This episode is powered by a GIANT spicy mango margarita literally the size of our heads paired perfectly with killer chips & queso — as all good decisions are. We filmed ahead of time because M is back home in Colorado spending Mother’s Day with her momma, which naturally led us into talking about how women’s bodies are still wildly under-researched (shocking, we know). We dive into women’s intuition, our weirdly telepathic friend group connection, and a TikTok Sydney saw that said “I’m not a thermometer, I’m the thermostat” — and honestly? life changing. We’re also celebrating M getting back to her spontaneous self, which naturally turns into us reminiscing on our chaotic college days and some… questionable stories hahaha. From there we spiral into festival culture, music festivals, possibly taking the podcast on the road, and Sydney being a master trip planner(seriously, hit her up). We also chuckle over our shared love for Cars and how Sydney used to watch Mater's Tall Tales on repeat with her little brother. We get into how much we genuinely love the freedom and lifestyle that comes with bartending and how neither of us really knows if we ever want a traditional 9–5 life. Somewhere in the middle of all this, we also discuss figuring out how to monetize the podcast without being annoying about it… so peace and love hehe.

episode The World is Better With You in It artwork

The World is Better With You in It

20 episodes?! That’s 20 whole weeks of hanging out with us and listening to our chaotic little conversations, and we seriously couldn’t be more grateful. This week’s Sips of the Week were brown sugar caramel iced coffees served in the cutest Dolly Parton cups gifted by Syd’s mother-in-law… which immediately sent us into our feelings after seeing Dolly’s recent video and absolutely crushed our souls. This episode gets a little reflective as Syd talks about how she and her hubby grew into their marriage instead of letting marriage put them into a box, while M opens up about rediscovering herself and getting back to who she was before her last relationship. We also dive into the difference between a disagreement and a full-blown argument and why healthy relationships don’t have to feel like a battlefield. Of course, we balance the emotional growth with absolute nonsense because our Spill It, Bestie story about grown men acting like manchildren had us cracking up. Plus, Syd’s sugar butt and his bestie are off on a boys trip to Sonic Temple, so naturally we had thoughts. We wrap everything up by talking about how important it is to surround yourself with people who genuinely want the best for you — because there’s enough room for all of us to win. 🤎

episode Here's Your Warning... TMI artwork

Here's Your Warning... TMI

This week’s Sips of the Week is a chaotic (but delicious) mix—Japanese mango cream soda + vodka… basically a mango screwdriver and we’re not mad about it. We’re both a little all over the place this episode (life is a scam, everything is a scam, you get it), but in between the chaos, M opens up about her recent crash-outs and how Syd has helped her realize that spiraling doesn’t have to ruin your whole day. Growth… kinda. Syd shares a story about her intuition being on 100 and showing up as a safe space when someone needed it most, and we get into the heaviness of living with CPTSD and how everyday life can feel a little extra overwhelming. We also dive into Syd’s very official (and slightly unhinged) “theories” on relationships. M got a new tattoo (!!) and is gearing up for her sleeve, plus we get into a real and funny convo about sexuality and figuring yourself out—even at 29. Of course, it wouldn’t be an episode without our usual wacky dream recaps, a heartfelt moment about a teacher who truly got it, and a message from a listener who set boundaries after listening to the pod (cue us sobbing). Oh—and Syd educates M on a classic Vine she somehow missed. PSA: If someone can’t respect your boundaries, they don’t respect you. Period.
