Descripción

I had the pleasure of having Lynn King, also known as @thesobergrandmaroadtrip (on instagram) as a guest on my podcast! We touch upon how she became more dependent on alcohol after the pandemic which eventually made her forget things, loose time and even her husband thought she had early onset dementia! After a night of not remembering being on a FaceTime call with her daughter and grandson, it took her 7 year old grandson to notice how she was acting, mentioning something to his mom, for her to really take a step back and analyze her drinking, to be able to say okay wow, I need to stop, I have a problem. Lynn describes the different ways that she got sober on her own. Without the 12 steps and without rehab, Lynn takes us through her journey not only on her road trip with her husband, but through her journey of sobriety, lead by her faith, commitment, determination, and a mother’s/grandmother’s love. Thank you Lynn!

Inspired By God (Mike Fiore)

#addiction #recovery #odaat #sobriety #sober #livingsober #inspire2inspire #mentalhealth #successstories #recoveringoutloud #drugs #inspire Mike Fiore joins me on my podcast and we talk about all things addiction recovery, we touch upon mental health the stigma of addiction, triggers, humility, success in the journey, death, grief, and how God is good! I told Mike that I loved his enthusiasm and asked where it comes from and he answered, “It comes from living in hell for the past 20 years. Sleeping in the same bed as the devil. It comes from getting out of that darkness and into the light. Like there’s no going back for me. I could pick up the drug again but in my mind there is no going back to that. I refuse to loose…. We think our addiction is a knock, our addictions teach us how to be successful. The devil wants us to chase things, money, men, women, cars, things that we chase will never satisfy us, God wants us to wait and be patient, and when you get it, hold on to it.”  Tune in now so you don’t miss a thing!Mikes Instagram: @mikefiore118Mikes TikTok: @inspire2inspire_Inspire 2 Inspire Merch: https://staystopped.shop/search?type=product&q=Inspire+2+in%2A
