Descripción

Sermon Outline Focus: Peace and contentment are not found in perfect circumstances, but in the presence and sufficiency of Christ. They are Kingdom fruit produced through trust and surrender. I. Kingdom Peace is rooted in the presence of Christ (Philippians 4:4–7)        “Rejoice in the Lord always…”         Peace is rooted in Christ, not circumstances.         Anxiety grows when we try to control what only God can carry.         “The peace of God” guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. II. Kingdom Peace flows from a Kingdom Mindset (Philippians 4:8–9)         What you dwell on… disciples you.         Peace grows where the mind is anchored in truth.         The world disciples us into fear, striving, and comparison.         Kingdom people say: “Because I have Christ… I already possess what         matters most.” III. Kingdom Contentment is learned through trusting Christ (Philippians 4:10–13)         Contentment does not come naturally – it is learned.         Paul’s peace was anchored in Christ, not his circumstances.         Philippians 4:13 is not about achieving dreams but enduring all things         through Christ’s strength.         The example of Elizabeth Elliot         Peace and contentment are Kingdom fruit.  Support the show [https://churchofthelakes.breezechms.com/give/online] Visit us online at churchofthelakes.org or on social media at churchofthelakesohio

Sermon - Faith on its Knees: "Kingdom Wisdom " Series

Sermon Outline Focus: Kingdom wisdom recognizes that prayer is not our last resort—it is our first response. I. Kingdom Faith Prays in Every Season         In suffering, we pray.         In joy, we praise.         Every circumstance is an invitation to draw near to God. II. Kingdom Faith Refuses to Fight Alone         God never intended us to carry our burdens by ourselves.         Pray with and for one another.         Healing often begins when we bring our burdens into the light. III. Kingdom Faith Expects God to Move         Our confidence is not in our prayers, but in our God.         Prayer is powerful because God is faithful.         Prayer isn’t our last resort – it is our first response. IV. Questions for Reflection         What is my first instinct when life becomes difficult?         Where is God inviting me to trust Him more deeply?         Who can I encourage or pray for this week? Sermon - The Battle Withinn: "Kingdom Wisdom " Series

Sermon Outline Focus: The greatest battles in our lives are often not around us—but within us. Every conflict ultimately asks one question: Who is sitting on the throne of my heart? I. Every Conflict Reveals Competing Kingdoms (vs. 1-3)       Conflict often exposes deeper desires.       A good desire becomes dangerous when it becomes a ruling desire.       Conflict is often the smoke; idolatry is the fire. II. Every Idol Demands a Throne (vs. 4-6)       The world says, “Build your kingdom.” Jesus says, “Follow Me.”       Every false king promises life but leaves us empty.       “But He gives greater grace.” (James 4:6) III. The King Invites Us Home (vs. 7-10)       Repentance is stepping off the throne and returning to the Father.       Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.       Kingdom wisdom begins where self-rule ends. IV. Questions for Reflection       What desire is competing for the throne of my heart?       Where am I resisting God’s rule?       What would surrender to King Jesus look like this week? Kingdom Conversation – Mid-Year Kingdom Check-In How are we doing halfway through our journey of embracing a Kingdom Mindset? In this special mid-year episode of Kingdom Conversation, Pastor Robby Strock and Pastor Jared Priset reflect on the first six months of Church of the Lakes' 2026 theme: Living with a Kingdom Mindset. Together they revisit key teachings from the Sermon on the Mount, Altar'd, Philippians, and James, sharing insights, lessons learned, and practical ways these studies are shaping our lives as followers of Jesus. The conversation explores why a Kingdom mindset is essential, what it means to build God's Kingdom in our everyday lives, and how each of us can take intentional next steps in becoming more like Christ and living counterculturally in a changing world. The episode also features our "Real Questions, Real Answers" segment, where Pastor Jared shares personal reflections on what has made him laugh, cry, and think this week. Whether you've been with us since the beginning of the year or are just joining the journey, this episode offers encouragement, biblical wisdom, and practical application to help you continue growing as a disciple of Jesus.
