Sermon Outline Focus: The greatest battles in our lives are often not around us—but within us. Every conflict ultimately asks one question: Who is sitting on the throne of my heart? I. Every Conflict Reveals Competing Kingdoms (vs. 1-3)       Conflict often exposes deeper desires.       A good desire becomes dangerous when it becomes a ruling desire.       Conflict is often the smoke; idolatry is the fire. II. Every Idol Demands a Throne (vs. 4-6)       The world says, “Build your kingdom.” Jesus says, “Follow Me.”       Every false king promises life but leaves us empty.       “But He gives greater grace.” (James 4:6) III. The King Invites Us Home (vs. 7-10)       Repentance is stepping off the throne and returning to the Father.       Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.       Kingdom wisdom begins where self-rule ends. Sermon Outline Focus: What comes out of our mouths reveals who rules our hearts. I. The Tongue Possesses Enormous Power         Small words can have massive impact.         Words can heal or wound, build up or tear down.         Before speaking, posting, or commenting, ask: Is it True? Is it Necessary? Is it Kind?         “The tongue is a small part of the body, but it boasts great things.” (James 3:5) II. The Tongue Reveals the Condition of the Heart         Speech is not merely a mouth problem – it is a heart problem.         What fills the heart eventually comes out through the mouth.         Anger, bitterness, pride, and resentment often reveal themselves through our words.         “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” (Matthew 12:34) III. Kingdom Speech Reflects Kingdom Citizenship         The world rewards outrage; Jesus calls us to grace.         The world says, “Win the argument.” Jesus says, “Love your neighbor.”         Kingdom citizens should sound different because they belong to a different King. IV. Application:         What do my words reveal about my heart?         Do my conversations and social media posts reflect Jesus?         Is there a relationship that needs healing, forgiveness, or an apology?         How can my speech better reflect the Kingdom of God this week? V. When Jesus reigns in the heart, His Kingdom begins to come out of the mouth.
