The people of Israel often lost sight of the God who brought them out of captivity and slavery in Judah. If it happened to them, let us me cautious that we ourselves do not fall into the temptations of idolatry. Accord within yourself, to not go to other gods (whiich are evil spirits), because you have a Heavenly Father who is able to provide for all of your needs, give you joy, and give you peace. Job Description: Holy Spirit

I really should have known about the Holy Spirit's formal job description as found in John 16:7-13. This is the type of passage that I probably have glossed over in the past but today as I read the Jesus' words about the Holy Spirit I was shocked. The Holy Spirit's whole job is to basically breath life into the Gospel, the Good News we are called to share! How did I not understand this?
