Conversations With OJ
After two year of research and conversations with mental health professionals, advocates, and those with lived experience, I'm opening up about what I've learned regarding suicide prevention and depression. This is Part One of "Is It Not Okay to Not Be Okay?" - a series born from countless hours of listening, learning, and understanding the depths of mental health struggles that too many face in silence. In this episode, I share the insights and truths I've gathered about: * The real face of depression beyond what we see on the surface * Why suicide prevention requires us to have uncomfortable conversations * What people in the field wish everyone understood * The gap between suffering in silence and reaching for help * Why it's not just okay to not be okay - it's human This isn't a clinical discussion. This is everything I've absorbed from a year of immersing myself in these critical conversations, distilled into what I believe everyone needs to hear. Content Warning: This episode discusses suicide, depression, and mental health crisis in depth. Please listen with care.
