Cultivating Spectrum Connections
In this episode of Cultivating Spectrum Connections, we sit down with Maci and Michael Ferguson from DeWitt, Arkansas, parents of six-year-old twin girls who are both living with Autism. Autism is diagnosed in boys nearly four times more often than in girls, making their story one you don’t hear about very often. While twins may share many similarities, each child’s Autism journey is unique, and the Fergusons are learning to navigate both paths with love, patience, and resilience. Together we talk about raising children with Autism in rural Arkansas, where resources and support can be limited, the differences between each girl’s development, and the lessons they’ve learned along the way. This honest and encouraging conversation is for parents, caregivers, and anyone who wants to better understand the realities of the Autism journey and be reminded that you are not alone.
