Definiton Of Terms; Endometriosis is a disease in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus. A gynaecologist is a specialist doctor who manages conditions that affect the female reproductive system- which includes the vulva, vagina, uterus (womb) and ovaries. General Practitioner (GP) is a doctor who is also qualified in general medical practice. GPs are often the first point of contact for someone, of any age, who feels sick or has a health concern. They treat a wide range of medical conditions and health issues. Menstrual cramps are throbbing or cramping pains in the lower abdomen. Cysts are abnormal sacs of fluid that can form anywhere in thebody. Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common disorder that affects the stomach and intestines.
