International visitation rebounded in 2022 to 8.9 million visitors, more than triple the 2021 volume and 69% of the 2019 benchmark. Crime and New York are in the minds of the public, almost interchangeable. Crime is rising to levels last seen in the 80s and 90s, however the politicians are in denial about this and parade statistics that attempt to gaslight us into thinking they have it all under control.
