Digging Another Well
Doubt can feel incredibly convincing. In today’s devotional, we look at the story of Thomas in John 20 and the reminder that Jesus is not afraid of our questions, our fears, or the moments when faith struggles to see clearly. “Be not faithless, but believing.” — John 20:27 There are seasons in life when the next step feels far beyond our ability. Opportunities seem too big. Promises feel too distant. And doubt settles in, whispering that staying where we are is safer than trusting God with what we cannot yet see. Thomas understood that feeling. After the resurrection, Thomas struggled to believe what the other disciples had witnessed. He wanted proof. He wanted certainty. And instead of rejecting him, Jesus met him directly in the middle of his doubt. That moment reveals something powerful: doubt is not the opposite of faith — unbelief is. Doubt is often faith wrestling with what it cannot yet fully see. Jesus still meets people there. If you are carrying doubt today, you are not disqualified. God is not intimidated by your questions. He walks directly into uncertain places and calls us forward anyway. The greatest opportunities God places before us are often on the other side of what we cannot yet see clearly. Doubt asks: “What if I fail?” Faith asks: “What if God is right?” 📖 Scripture: John 20:27 🙏 Subscribe for more daily devotionals and biblical encouragement. #ChristianPodcast #Faith #Doubt #BibleDevotional #ChristianEncouragement #John20 #TrustGod Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life.
