Seatbelts are a part of driving now. But it wasn't always that way. There are a lot of people out there still ignoring the seatbelt laws and leaving significant parts of their body all over the road after a bad accident. Yesterday was another story. Propaganda films made in the white house with your tax dollars supposedly to inspire the nation with his phenomenal accomplishments (insert laughter here). Growing up in the sixties and seventies was interesting to say the least. I was too young for Woodstock (you don't see many 8 year old's walking around in the mud at Woodstock) but my Dad had no problem greasing us up with Brylcreem when we were little. I have a picture of My parents and my 3 (at the time) siblings standing in front of my grandparents house on Easter Sunday, the boys in suits and dress coats (We looked like little salesmen, my sister in her Easter dress, my Mom in her best dress(which she probably found on a sale rack somewhere) and my Dad God bless him in a sport coat, a polo shirt with no collar, and sunglasses on looking so much like James Bond it was ridiculous. I love that picture. Grandmas house was full of plastic covered furniture and a velvet rope to keep us out of the living room. That sucker came down fast when we got there.  My Mom was always a wreck when we went to see her parents. My Grandma was kind of mean and inattentive but my Grandpa was a lot of fun and loved the grandkids. There are stories. Lots of them. But I want to hear yours. Please send my your messages so we can read and discuss them. Serious or not I'll read them all (unless they involve inappropriate things) so we can discuss them and have either a laugh or a cry depending on how things go.
