Michael Hoffman • Self - Reliance Consultant

Michael was aware from a very early age that something was very wrong with the world. Why did we have to pay to be alive? Why did some people feel they had authority over others? Why are most people so unhealthy? Questions that no adult could seem to answer. Because of this, he tended to be an outsider for not accepting the status quo and led him to do his own research, rather than taking other's word for it. At the age of 18 he had a deep awakening that changed the course of his life, and has spent the past 12+ years as a researcher and activist seeking to find solutions to the problems mankind is collectively facing. He believes taking personal responsibility is the solution and is passionate about helping everyone become more Self-Reliant in all areas of their life, regardless of their current situation. His philosophy is that there is no lie in nature, and that if we take the time to remember what it is to be human and learn Her ways, than we can become the stewards we were created to be. After years of planning, saving, and designing multiple Off-Grid Homesteads, Michael moved his wife and two children to live Off-Grid and homestead in the heart of Montana in 2020. Michael had a long background in Sales, Management, and Real Estate, but decided to leave that all behind to follow his heart and dedicate his life, personally and professionally, toward this goal.. He connected with Jim Gale of Food Forest Abundance in 2021 and became the Director of Self-Reliant Living for FFA, channeling his passion for homesteading to help others live in freedom and abundance. Michael has gone on to lead multiple trainings on Self-Reliance, Permaculture, and Preparedness/Survival on various platforms, and has designed Homesteads across the U.S. In addition to his work with FFA, Michael owns and operates Food Forest Montana, designing and installing edible landscapes across the state.
