If you’re not losing weight on keto, or you’re stuck on a keto plateau, this is for you. Make sure you’re not making these common keto diet mistakes... they could be the reason why keto isn’t working! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) [https://open.spotify.com/episode/4oKZ046rIAE3zwxDb06ZaO] Chapters: 00:00 Introduction: The keto diet is not working for me! 0:41 Why I’m not losing weight on keto 5:35 Gallbladder, liver health, and the keto diet 10:03 Vitamin D and keto weight loss problems 13:50 Keto diet facts and fiction In this video, we’ll take a look at why some people struggle with weight loss on the keto diet or experience a keto weight loss plateau. To do the keto diet correctly, you must reduce your carb intake to 50 grams or less per day, especially if you’re working towards a goal such as weight loss, reducing chronic illness, increasing energy, or improving your health. Avoid these 13 common keto diet mistakes! 1. Don’t do dirty keto, a low-carb diet that doesn’t eliminate unhealthy ingredients. 2. Poor sleep increases blood sugar values to those of a prediabetic. It also increases cortisol levels, inhibits the release of growth hormone, and reduces fat burning. 3. Stress raises cortisol levels, which blocks the benefits of keto. 4. Overtraining can stifle weight loss! 5. Gallbladder and liver health are vital for fat breakdown and absorption, and critical for proper thyroid function. You won’t lose weight on keto until you address these issues first. 6. Your thyroid is responsible for metabolism and energy. Focus on iodine, selenium, and zinc intake for a healthy thyroid. 7. Weight loss on keto starts with a healthy gut. Try L. reuteri yogurt to restore gut health and lose weight. 8. Not getting enough sun is one of the most common keto weight loss problems. Vitamin D protects you from insulin resistance, and sunlight increases melatonin and serotonin. 9. The more atrophy you have, the less keto will work for weight loss. 10. Make sure you have realistic expectations and an accurate definition of normal. After the initial water weight loss when first starting keto, weight loss will vary from person to person. 11. Pair the keto diet with intermittent fasting. Eliminate snacking and only eat when you’re hungry. 12. Avoid cheat day! 13. Lower your dietary fat intake if you’re struggling to lose weight on keto. You may have heard rumors that the keto diet is dangerous, but this simply isn’t true and is often based on poor research. Some foods labeled as “zero sugar” still contain carbs. Check labels and make sure your keto weight loss plateau isn’t caused by hidden sugar consumption! Today, I want to cover the best food to support healing and repair: red meat. Not only does red meat have the most protein, but it also has some other amazing benefits. Other types of protein, like eggs and salmon, are beneficial—but red meat is the best to support healing. Of all the things needed for the repair or healing process, amino acids are among the most important. Red meat is more bioavailable and is a more concentrated source of amino acids than other types of protein. It also contains more iron, magnesium, zinc, B vitamins, vitamin K, and omega-3 fatty acids than eggs. This doesn’t include processed meat from factory farms. It’s crucial to get high-quality grass-fed, grass-finished red meat. Red meat also contains four important additional nutrients for healing, repair, and recovery: 1. Carnitine 2. Creatine 3. Carnosine 4. Coenzyme Q10 People who have difficulty digesting red meat typically have low stomach acid. Even if you don’t like the taste of red meat, it may be because you have low stomach acid. Betaine hydrochloride may be beneficial to help strengthen your stomach acid. You can try taking three to five betaine hydrochloride supplements before a meal for about one month. However, if you tend to have excess iron, red meat may not be for you. Instead, you could try consuming more poultry or eggs. Is it possible that the top diseases could really be nutritional deficiencies? Find out more. Video on The EAT-Lancet Commission: ▶️ https://youtu.be/v8R0vInlGgk DATA: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35247225 0:00 Introduction: Are diseases nutritional deficiencies? 0:42 Top diseases that could be nutrient deficiencies 6:25 Recommended foods by the EAT-Lancet commission 9:10 Foods you really need to support your health 13:53 Learn more about nutritious foods! Let’s talk about the top diseases that could really be nutritional deficiencies. If you have a disease, doctors don't typically do much of a deep dive into vitamin or mineral deficiencies. They tend to focus more on medications and treatments instead of causes like deficiencies. A lack of certain nutrients, like vitamins A, D, E, and so many more, can lead to debilitating health conditions. These deficiencies can cause problems with essentially every part of the body. So, can we create health without nutrients? No, I don’t think so. With nutrients being so important for your health, it makes sense that a lack of nutrients would be involved in disease. Many recommended foods are more likely to create deficiencies and destroy your health rather than build your health. A lot of foods your body needs are also left out of recommended diets. Here are a few examples of foods that are often left out of the most commonly suggested diets but are essential to support a healthy body: • Egg yolks • Animal protein and animal products • Red meat • Seafood • Fatty fish • Organ meats Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. #1 Vitamin D THREAT You Absolutely Must Know!

Vitamin D is vital for your health, but is too much vitamin D dangerous? Find out about some of the negative vitamin D side effects and how to avoid them. Learn how to access potent vitamin D health benefits while minimizing vitamin D health risks. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) [https://open.spotify.com/episode/4oKZ046rIAE3zwxDb06ZaO] 0:00 Introduction: Vitamin D dangers 0:10 The Coimbra Protocol 0:41 Normal vitamin D levels 0:58 Vitamin D hypercalcemia 1:08 The dangers of low vitamin D 2:10 How much vitamin D do you need? 4:18 Avoiding vitamin D mistakes Learn more about vitamin D with this FREE resource: https://drbrg.co/3IKN0xk Learn more about magnesium, an essential cofactor to vitamin D, here: https://drbrg.co/4lXMBGk Dr. Coimbra of Brazil is a pioneer in vitamin D research and developed the Coimbra Protocol, in which he treats his patients with high doses of vitamin D. This protocol has been very successful in resolving autoimmune conditions, with some of his patients taking up to 200,000 IU of vitamin D daily! Vitamin D deficiency is not always easy to detect. Blood tests do not reflect what's going on deeper in your cells. Taking too much vitamin D can be dangerous if you have hypercalcemia, or too much calcium in the blood. This can lead to kidney stones. A lack of vitamin D is also dangerous! If you’re deficient in vitamin D, you are more susceptible to autoimmune diseases, which is currently the world’s largest health problem. Vitamin D is involved in over 2500 genes and is intimately involved in every part of your immune system. You need a maintenance dose of 8,000 to 10,000 IU of vitamin D daily for healthy immune function. Many people can not get adequate vitamin D from the sun or their food. Genetic factors can contribute to vitamin D resistance. Low magnesium, zinc, and vitamin K2 can also inhibit the absorption of vitamin D. Certain viruses downgrade vitamin D receptors, weakening your immune function. Our RDAs are also far too low. There are several ways to maximize vitamin D benefits while also preventing adverse vitamin D side effects. Take the cofactors magnesium, zinc, and vitamin K2 with vitamin D. Limit your calcium intake, especially when taking a high dose of vitamin D. You can also increase fluid intake to 2.5 liters per day to prevent kidney stones.
