EIU CDS Podcast Episode 6: Daniel and Tech in the SPED Classroom

On this episode of the EIU CDS podcast, undergraduate student Daniel Robins speaks about technology in the classroom. Daniel is an EIU undergraduate student who receives services through the STEP program and therapy through the Speech and Hearing Clinic at EIU. This podcast is the result of a therapy project designed to practice Executive function skills in writing, matching with skills he is working on in the clinic. He delves into technology and its role in today’s classroom and presents a neutral point of view on the positives and negatives of integrating technology in education, especially special education. Through research and personal experience, he hopes to inform and shed light on this topic for fellow pre and current educators and parents of students with special needs. Enjoy this episode, and feel free to reach out with any questions.
