En-abled to be BRAVE
Hi Guys, I’m so glad you could join me again. Welcome back , I’m going solo on this weeks episode . I will start having interviews from next month . So in this episode , I talk, how disabihas affected my mental health, my experiences with accessibility and my objections with this podcast. Mental health is a tricky one and very broad, what I may deem was really heavy for me throughout my journey of being disabled may not be what was difficult or challenging for the next person. These are just my views, I haven’t started my journey in therapy as yet and I will do so once I have resources and access to do it. For now this is my point of view based on my own self awareness and reflection and I hope it will make sense. South Africa is not the most accessible place to live in if you have a mobility impairment, there are positive things to note in some spaces but I think the reason why I wanted to discuss accessibility in this episode was seeing just how much it was a culture shock to me and how it’s affected me socially and my outlook when it comes to being out and about. Accessibility is so important when living with a mobility impairment and I hope this episode will be heard in rooms where this topic can be taken seriously. Thank you again for the tremendous support. Let’s keep listening and let’s keep being brave !! keep the conversation going on @enabledtobebrave on instagram or you can email on enabledtobebrave@gmail.com xx
