Descripción

Our guests this week are Darcy Totten (California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls) and Dr. Stacey Chimimba Ault (The Race and Gender Equity Project). We'll hear about what deep rest and care means on a personal level, what it means to care for your social circle, how our work culture leads to the cycle of burnout. To add to all of that, if you're a woman, you'll learn how much heavier that load can be under the social systems in place both at work and at home.

Suds & Solutions - We Prosper Together

This podcast is from Solving Sacramento's "Suds & Solutions" event series. Today's discussion is centered around a new initiative of over 150 organizations in eight California counties. The idea: A more inclusive approach to economic development. The initiative is called We Prosper Together [https://www.weprospertogether.org/] and you can read a summary of the event by Hannah Ross at Sac News & Review [https://sacramento.newsreview.com/2024/05/20/panelists-discuss-we-prosper-together-initiative-and-the-future-of-sacramentos-inclusive-economy/]. Solving Sac hosts Suds & Solutions events every few months and we'd love to see you the next one. Admission is free, there's catering and as the name implies there are suds. Check out Solving Sacramento Dot Org for event announcements, you can also find them by following California Groundbreakers at Sacramento 365 Dot Com.
