Curtis Painter is a former NFL quarterback and one of the most prolific passers in the history of Purdue Universityfootball. Born in Watseka, Illinois, and raised in Vincennes, Indiana, Curtis became a standout multi-sport athlete before leading Lincoln High School to conference and sectional championships and earning PrepStar All-American honors. Despite being lightly recruited, he chose Purdue and thrived under legendary coach Joe Tiller, following in the footsteps of Boilermaker greats like Drew Brees. Painter went on to shatter records at Purdue, including breaking Brees’ Big Ten single-season passing yardage mark with nearly 4,000 yards in 2006, while becoming one of the most productive quarterbacks in school history.
