In this podcast I am covering my experience with the school I went to, the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. It is not intended to cast any kind of perception on the school itself but more on the experience every school had with the pandemic. I hope my listeners can relate to how challenging and complex such an experience was for me and feel comfortable reaching out or sharing their own experiences with me over on my Instagram (@sadlyliving.jaime). Thoughts From a College Student (pre-college)

In this episode I dive a little deeper into the process going from applying to starting school at AADA. I discuss the impact the pandemic had on this process as well as the end of my senior year of high school. I hope that sharing my hardships can bring some comfort to listeners as I know it can be hard to experience setbacks and feel like you're completely alone in that, but you're not.  As it says in the image for my channel.  It is the world It is my heart It is yours It is ours Everyone tells a story And your story is just as valuable to the world as mine or anyone else's. If COVID taught us anything, it's that we can do nothing if we can't appreciate and respect each other, so I want to be here for you in your journey. It is hard to have confidence and we often feel like we've lost that childish curiosity and hope. But dreams are not just for children, they're for all of us. Keep dreaming and I hope you enjoy. :)

This is just an introduction to what I want to talk about in the future. I will be covering pandemic depression and it's affect on people transitioning into adulthood, as well as the experience that I had with online theatre school and it's affect on my perception of the world.  If you're trying to find something to listen to which might help you to understand your own struggles or just to feel a little less alone in this struggle to become a whole person, come join me on this journey.
