John Harris

John Harris' incredible depth of knowledge into the history of Australia, both Indigenous and European settlement is shown in his many books on the subject, especially his powerful book titled One Blood. Bernadette Black

After taking the ute across Bass Strait on the Spirit of Tasmania, Karl interviewed Bernadette Black in Hobart. Bernadette's experience of having a baby at 16 years old, and not finding the national organisational support she was looking for, led her to starting her own organisation meeting the needs of expecting and parenting teens. Brave Foundation is now nation-wide, and is paving a way for other nations to follow in this important work. Andrew Fisher
