Ecclesiastes 3:16-22 This study concludes our time in Ecclesiastes chapter three, focusing on the battle of time and the necessity of knowing and understanding God. We explore how God designed time as a created entity to point us toward His existence and truth. Many believers struggle with the apparent prosperity of the wicked and the difficult, often painful, circumstances of life under the sun. This confusion often leads to doubt or seeking answers in the wrong places, such as the world's wisdom, rather than in God's revelation. The sermon clarifies that we are in a spiritual battle on three fronts: spiritual awareness against Satan, self-awareness against our flesh, and sovereign awareness against the world. Using Jeremiah 9:23-24, we learn that our glory is found in understanding and knowing the Lord, who exercises lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness. We see that God’s judgment is not a punishment to be feared, but a necessary tool for parenting His children and leading us to righteousness. Recognizing our own depravity—that we are like beasts without Christ—is essential for true self-awareness and for relying on God's redemptive plan rather than our own pride. Check out the full message to understand how to navigate these battles and find your answers in the Word of God.
